Our Story

From the Front Lines to a Unified Platform

I've spent the past 30+ years in IT and cybersecurity, working with global leaders like Morgan Stanley, Nomura, PayPal, the FBI, and the Bank of Canada. My journey has taken me across Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, the U.S., and Canada—solving real-world security challenges in organizations of every size and industry.

But despite the diversity of these environments, the problems were always the same:

  • Too many vulnerabilities to manage effectively
  • Security teams overwhelmed and under-resourced
  • An overload of tools—none of them fully connected

One moment stuck with me. During a project, PayPal told me:

"We've been looking for someone like you for eight years. We have thousands of vulnerabilities coming in daily—and we need automation."

That was the tipping point.

I created City of Hats not just as a product, but as a solution I wish I had throughout my career—a unified platform that brings everything together:

  • It connects your scanners, tools, and data sources
  • It identifies what truly matters, fast
  • It automates what slows security teams down
  • And most importantly—it helps fix what's critical before it's too late

Because we all know: it only takes one missed vulnerability to put everything at risk.

At City of Hats, we're not just building software. We're solving a decades-old problem in a smarter, scalable way—one that helps organizations stay protected without the chaos.
